Museum of the Chemiserie
150 years ago, the first shirtmaking workshop opened in Argenton-sur-Creuse. Over the years, the city became a hotspot for the shirt industry. We invite you to discover the work and life of the "blouses" that have made Argenton famous thanks to the reconstruction of a workshop.
You will discover the different stages of making a shirt: the patronage, cutting, assembly, folding ... but also the holidays of St. Catherine, corporate travel. Many photos of workshops and a video complete this space, witness of an industrial memory still present a few years ago

Argenton-sur-Creuse
Nicknamed "the Venice of Berry", Argenton-sur-Creuse is a welcoming and dynamic city, whose very commercial center perfectly harmonizes with the authenticity of the old districts.
A sightseeing tour will take you from the town square to the streets and alleyways of yesteryear. The old wheeled mills and old houses with galleries and balustrades always contribute to the very picturesque charm of the walks along the banks of the Creuse.

Gargilesse

The village of Menoux and the church
